What Golf Clubs Does Bryson DeChambeau Use?

Bryson DeChambeau turned professional back in April 2016 and at the same time announced a multi-year equipment sponsorship deal with the Cobra Golf brand. DeChambeau is probably the biggest name golfer on the Cobra Staff team, joining fellow PGA Tour golfer Rickie Fowler as well as Lexi Thompson of the LPGA.

Most of the slots in Bryson’s golf bag include Cobra branded clubs with a few other clubs from smaller brands as well. He is currently using the Cobra LTDX Driver, but is said to be in the lab with Cobra staff to build a driver that is more suitable for him and his golf swing. He has a Cobra King Prototype B 2-wood in the bag along with a Cobra King Speedzone Tour 5-wood. His irons are the Cobra King One Length MiM Tour, equipped with JumboMax grips.

Bryson carries three wedges, made by the company Artisan. Artisan has created custom wedges for Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and more.

Lastly, Bryson’s putter is the Sik Pro C-Series Armlock.

Driver: Cobra LTDX

BUY IT NOW

Anyone who has watched Bryson DeChambeau in the past, knows that he hits the ball hard and far off the tee. Bryson is currently using the Cobra LTDX driver, switching from the Cobra King Radspeed driver he was previously using. The Cobra LTDX driver was just released on February 11th, 2022 so it is new onto the tour.

The Cobra LTDX PWR-COR technology positions the weight low and forward for a much faster ball speed with limited spin. There is an additional tungsten back weight that makes the sweet spot big and extremely forgiving. This is one of, if not the longest driver on tour.

What makes Bryson’s driver so unique is that he only uses a 5 degree loft version. Bryson’s motto is hit it as far as you can off the tee and work from there. He has a LA Golf AXS Blue 60 X shaft installed. He also has all of his clubs equipped with JumboMax grips which are the largest grips commercially available.

Fairway Woods: Cobra King Prototype B and Cobra King Speedzone Tour

BUY IT NOW

Bryson DeChambeau carries a Cobra King Prototype B 2-wood in the bag that has 10.5 degrees loft. His other fairway wood is a Speedzone Tour 5-wood that has 13.5 degrees of loft.

Bryson first put the 2-wood into his bag at the Travelers Championship in 2021. The interesting thing is that this 2-wood was built specifically for him from the makers at Cobra. The prototype is based off a Cobra F6 that hasn’t been hit since 2016. Cobra cranked down the loft to 10.5 degrees and it has been in Bryson’s bag since.

Bryson can hit this 2-wood 300+ yards without massive amount of spin, which is quite incredible.

His other fairway wood is a Cobra King Speedzone Tour. This club was also built specifically for Bryson. Cobra took a King Speedzone Tour 3-wood head but cranked the loft down to 13.5 degrees and Bryson has used it since 2020. The head shows 3-wood on the sole, but it is essentially a 5-wood with the way it spins and distance it travels.

Both of his woods are also equipped with JumboMax grips.

Because of the customization, it is not possible to buy Bryson’s exact fairway woods. However, the Speedzone listed below from Amazon is the closest you will get.

Irons: Cobra King One Length MiM Tour

BUY IT NOW

In Bryson’s bag, his irons start with Cobra King One Length Utility irons which are a 4 and 5 iron. His 6 iron through pitching wedge are then Cobra King One Length MiM Tour irons. He has used the 4 and 5 iron since 2016, but has upgraded the 6 through pitching wedge. Instead of being casted or forged, his new MiM Tour Irons are 3D-printed. This allows for more rapid and consistent prototyping so that he can adjust them as needed.

The MiM Tour Irons were released back in October 2020. MiM stands for Metal Injection Molded which is a new process in manufacturing golf clubs instead of casting or forging metal. The slick cavity back has a compact shape and clean grooves. There is also a tungsten toe weight right behind the hitting zone to provide pure shots even on mis-hits.

One of the more interesting things about Bryson DeChambeau is that he uses a one-length approach on all of his irons. What this means is that every single iron in his bag is the exact same length as his 7-iron which is 37.5 inches. This promotes a consistent strike with every single iron, with the different lofts as well as swing speed accounting for the different yardages. The one-length approach in irons is becoming quite popular.

All of Bryson’s irons are equipped with LA Golf Shafts B.A.D Prototype Rebar and JumboMax grips.

Wedges: Artisan Prototypes

Bryson used to have some PXG and Cobra wedges in his bag but now carries three wedges in his bag. All three of Bryson DeChambeau’s wedges are made by the company Artisan. Artisan is a custom made company that has created wedges for Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and more.

Bryson carries a 47, 52 and 58 degree wedge in the bag.

Each wedge is equipped with LA Golf Shafts B.A.D Prototype Rebar and JumboMax grips.

Because of its customization, it is not possible to buy these wedges if you don’t have the connections!

Putter: Sik Pro C-Series Armlock

BUY IT NOW

Bryson is currently using a Sik Pro C-Series Armlock putter. He will frequently change between a mallet and blade style head depending on what seems to be working.

Bryson began using the armlock putting method back in 2017 and has become quite a good putter as a result of that.

Armlock means having a longer grip on your putter and having it rest along your forearm for a more consistent putting stroke. There are fewer moving parts with your stroke and this swing promotes a more pendulum type stroke.

Matt Kuchar and Xander Schauffele are other PGA Tour players that use the Armlock putting technique. Check out and buy Bryson’s putter below.

Bridgestone introduced impact modifiers on each version of the ball. This is an additive to the urethane that acts as a shock absorber which can deliver more spin. It also results in longer shots and more distance off the tee.

As you can see, all of the Bryson DeChambeau golf clubs we listed above are custom made. Bryson is hyper sensitive about the clubs he uses on the tour and he wants maximum control.
