What Golf Clubs Does Scottie Scheffler Use?

In 2022, Scottie Scheffler signed his first equipment contract with TaylorMade. That was 3 years after he made his professional golf debut on the PGA tour. As part of the deal, Scottie began to endorse the brand new TaylorMade Stealth, a carbon driver and fairway wood that promotes a faster club speed.

The only clubs that aren’t TaylorMade in Scottie’s bag are a pair of Srixon long irons that have been a mainstay in Scottie’s bag since before his contract. As well, his putter is a premium Scotty Cameron model that is very close to the one Tiger Woods uses.

Overall, you’ll see that a few of the clubs that Scottie uses are based on ones that Tiger Woods has found success with during his career. Below, we go into each in more detail.

Driver: TaylorMade Stealth Plus

BUY IT NOW

Scottie Scheffler follows Tiger Woods and Rory Mcilroy to use the new TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver in competitive play. The Stealth line of drivers was just released on February 4th, 2022 and is the newest offering by TaylorMade. The face is made of 60X Carbon Twist Face and promises better energy transfer and faster ball speeds across a larger area of the face.

In working with TaylorMade, Scottie was able to raise the ball speed by 3.4 MPH with the Stealth over his previous Ping driver. This has correlated into gains of 11 more yards on average (306 yards currently).

The Stealth driver is a change from the normal titanium faced drivers, but it is getting rave reviews from PGA Tour players around the world.

Scheffler has a Fujikura Ventus Black 7X shaft installed with his new driver.

TaylorMade Stealth Plus+ Driver 10.5 Righthanded
  • The 60X Carbon Twist Face is encased by a polyurethane cover, featuring a revolutionary new nanotexture technology. The nanotexture cover is used to fine tune launch and spin to optimize total distance regardless of playing conditions.
  • The weight savings of the 60x Carbon Twist Face has allowed more weight to be positioned low and deep in the head, this will add 15% more MOI compared to Stealth Plus+.
  • The Inertia Generator remains the foundational source of refined aerodynamic properties. The result is a slippery-fast head shape that aids in swing speed generation on the downswing for golfers at every level.
  • Our most flexible Speed Pocket design engineered to maximize ball speeds and produce additional forgiveness on low face strikes.

Fairway Wood: TaylorMade Stealth 3HL

BUY IT NOW

Scottie has also switched to use the new TaylorMade Stealth 3HL fairway wood. This club replaces a Nike VR Pro three-wood which had been in Scottie’s bag for over ten years! In 2021, Scottie famously cracked his old three wood on the driving range, forcing his wife to bring him a replacement to use.

Since 2022, Scottie Scheffler’s bag has consisted of the new Stealth 3HL. It has a new 3D carbon crown that pulls mass away from the toe area and positions it further back where it can be used better. The Stealth 3HL has a thru-slot speed pocket that maximum ball speed and gives the golfer extra forgiveness.

Scottie currently uses the 16.5 degree version of the wood. He previously tried the 15 degree Stealth wood, but that version of the club exceeded his usual 3-wood carry distance.

Scottie Scheffler’s fairway wood has a Fujikura Ventus Black 3X shaft.

3-Iron: Srixon ZU85

BUY IT NOW

The Srixon ZU85 is a utility iron that Scottie Scheffler keeps in his bag. Scottie only uses one fairway wood because the ZU85 is so reliable.

The ZU85 has a milled pattern on the face which maximizes the coefficient of restitution (COR) for more ball speed and distance. The hollow design is constructed in a way that allows Scottie to get high launch when he hits the ball, even in the fairway.

The carbon steel (similar to the TaylorMade Stealth) absorbs vibration and allows for good transfer of energy.

Scottie’s ZU85 is equipped with a Nippon Pro Modus3 Hybrid Tour X shaft.

Irons: TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW)

BUY IT NOW

The TaylorMade P7TW irons came out back in 2019 and Tiger Woods had a huge hand in helping create these. The P7TW irons are a beautiful, traditional looking blade iron. They have a thin top line with zero offset. They have a beautiful sound off the face of the club and are premium from top to bottom.

His P7TW irons are equipped with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.

Scottie Scheffler uses the P7TW irons from 5-iron up to pitching wedge. His 4-iron is an older Srixon ZX7 that is no longer available anymore. However, it has been reliable for him and Scottie uses it similar to his utility wedge up above.

The SM8 wedges has a progressive center of gravity through the use of strategically placed tungsten weights and varied hosel length. Scottie has said that he loves the height he gets off of these wedges. That happens because of the wide and shallow grooves on the 56 and 60 wedge.

All three wedges are equipped with True Temper Dynamic Golf Tour Issue S400 shafts.
