What Golf Clubs Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
In 2022, Scottie Scheffler signed his first equipment contract with TaylorMade. That was 3 years after he made his professional golf debut on the PGA tour. As part of the deal, Scottie began to endorse the brand new TaylorMade Stealth, a carbon driver and fairway wood that promotes a faster club speed.
The only clubs that aren’t TaylorMade in Scottie’s bag are a pair of Srixon long irons that have been a mainstay in Scottie’s bag since before his contract. As well, his putter is a premium Scotty Cameron model that is very close to the one Tiger Woods uses.
Overall, you’ll see that a few of the clubs that Scottie uses are based on ones that Tiger Woods has found success with during his career. Below, we go into each in more detail.
Driver: TaylorMade Qi10
Scottie Scheffler, a golfer known for his commitment to innovation, has recently incorporated the TaylorMade Qi10 (Driver) into his bag. He shared, “following the success of the Stealth line, I was eager to embrace the advancements of the Qi10 series. It’s a game-changer, signaling a new era for TaylorMade drivers.”
The Qi10 driver, designed for versatility, is a game-changer for golfers seeking optimal performance across various swing styles and preferences. Its carbon construction enhances ball speed and makes it easier to maximize distance.
The Qi10’s technology comes with a re-engineered 60X Carbon Twist Face. This innovative feature maximizes energy transfer, which means more power is transferred to the ball upon impact. With a lower CG projection (center of gravity) and higher MOI (moment of inertia) than the Stealth 2, the Qi10 is more popular.
Available in three loft options (9°, 10.5°, and 12°) and featuring an adjustable loft sleeve, the Qi10 allows you to fine-tune your launch conditions for optimal performance.
For Scheffler, the transition to the Qi10 driver is more than just a change in equipment. It’s a strategic move towards maximizing his potential on the course. Paired with his preferred Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 5 shaft, the Qi10 is the most popular golf driver of 2024, inspiring others to consider its potential impact on their game.
Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Qi10
Scottie Scheffler has embraced TaylorMade’s latest innovation by also incorporating the TaylorMade Qi10 (Fairway Woods) into his arsenal. Building on the success of the Stealth 3HL, Scheffler’s transition to the Qi10 series marks a strategic move towards optimizing his performance on the course.
Featuring a modern head shape and sleek hosel design, the Qi10 fairway wood delivers optimal weight distribution and a lower center of gravity for increased distance, higher launch, and enhanced forgiveness. At the heart of the Qi10’s technology is its advanced Carbon Crown, which works with the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket to maximize ball speed and consistency.
The addition of V Steel technology further improves turf interaction, ensuring clean contact from any lie, while Twist Face technology promotes straighter shots, enhancing accuracy and confidence on every swing. Its mid-face height design offers versatility and ease of use, making it a reliable choice for fairway shots and off-the-tee play.
Scheffler, known for his aggressive playing style, finds the Qi10 fairway wood to be the perfect balance between power and control.
3-Iron: Srixon ZU85
BUY IT NOW
The Srixon ZU85 is a utility iron that Scottie Scheffler keeps in his bag. Scottie only uses one fairway wood because the ZU85 is so reliable.
The ZU85 has a milled pattern on the face which maximizes the coefficient of restitution (COR) for more ball speed and distance. The hollow design is constructed in a way that allows Scottie to get high launch when he hits the ball, even in the fairway.
The carbon steel (similar to the TaylorMade Stealth) absorbs vibration and allows for good transfer of energy.
Scottie’s ZU85 is equipped with a Nippon Pro Modus3 Hybrid Tour X shaft.
Irons: TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW)
BUY IT NOW
The TaylorMade P7TW irons came out back in 2019 and Tiger Woods had a huge hand in helping create these. The P7TW irons are a beautiful, traditional looking blade iron. They have a thin top line with zero offset. They have a beautiful sound off the face of the club and are premium from top to bottom.
His P7TW irons are equipped with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.
Scottie Scheffler uses the P7TW irons from 5-iron up to pitching wedge. His 4-iron is an older Srixon ZX7 that is no longer available anymore. However, it has been reliable for him and Scottie uses it similar to his utility wedge up above.
