It has a heavy-duty construction and comes in a multitude of colors.. Even better is the ease of traveling with the bag, which provides additional space for tossing in extra gear and has a soft cover that makes it easy to fit into trunks.

Best Golf Travel Bags of 2016

INTECH Golf Travel Cover with Wheels

The Intech Golf Travel Cover is our first stop today, and is a bag that is made to, quite literally, go the distance.

The Intech features internal padding in excess, providing a comfortable surface for your clubs during travelling. This padding will help to absorb any sort of shock or trauma that may otherwise damage your clubs, keeping them in perfect condition for wherever you may end up.

The integrated wheels make travelling a breeze with the Intech, allowing you to easily roll your clubs down easy and crowded airport terminals. The Intech Golf Travel Cover also features various storage compartments for other golfing gear, such as golf balls, tees and even golf shoes, plus outer protection as well, meaning your bag is secure inside and out.

An embroidery panel is also included, allowing you to get your own name, or golfing nickname embroidered onto the golf travel bag. This is also removable for ease of use.

The bag features outer protection as well, such as the plastic bumpers around the wheels, and also in high risk areas. This double layer of protection should be abundant for ensuring the safety of your golf clubs.

While your clubs and equipment themselves will always be protected, the cloth on the outside of the bag cannot say the same. The cloth that this bag is made with isn't the best of material, and as a result is susceptible to wear and tear.

But you're here for the protection of your clubs, and that is something that this bag can do in spades. If you are looking for protection at a great price, look no further than the Intech.

What We Liked

  • Value for money
  • Molded wheel chassis

What We Didn't Like

  • Not a super industrial strength bag

CaddyDaddy Constrictor 2 Golf Bag Travel Cover

The CaddyDaddy Constrictor 2 may be a travel bag that is a bit pricier than our previous option, the Intech. But, for the added price, you get added value as well.

The CaddyDaddy features heavily padded curb heads, which allows the clubs to remain protected through customs and travel. No matter how much jostling and roughing up your bag may experience during travel, these curb heads will help your bag absorb the blows!

CaddyDaddy Constrictor 2

To help support the weight of your clubs, the CaddyDaddy features skate wheels and riveted handles. These two features help to distribute the weight of your clubs, making your bag easy to manage when you are running to catch your next plane.

At the top of the case is an abundance of padding - this protects all your club heads, should they not have their own protective covers on, as we all know a small chip in the head of a club can cause all the difference in a round of golf.

Despite the abundance of protective features, this bag is still extremely light, you can easily fully load it with golfing gear and it will still be under the bag allowance for nearly all airlines!

One somewhat small flaw of this bag is the length. The bag tends to run on the smaller side, and as a result, some longer drivers can have a hard time fitting into the bag... not that they aren't able to, it will just be kind of a snug fit.

Despite this, the CaddyDaddy is still a great bag that offers unparalleled protection for even the longest of trips.

What We Liked

  • Lightweight
  • Durable construction
  • Heavily padded to protect club heads

What We Didn't Like

  • Wheel placement isn't ideal for shorter people (<6 ft)

Club Champ Golf Bag Travel Cover

The Club Champ travel bag, at first glance, really does not look that much different from just a really large duffel bag. Don't let that put you off, though, as this is a travel golf bag that you would be happy to own.

First, let's get the negative out of the way: the bag may not be as durable as some other bags on this list. Unlike some bags, constant travel may show more on the wear down on the bag. Despite this, for the price, you do get pretty good protection.

Club Champ Golf Bag Travel Cover

For a price of around $50, the Club Champ gives a lot of padding all around the bag, with more padding at the top to protect club heads. Also, like most golf travel bags, the Club Champ Golf Bag also features wheels, to save the effort of carrying the golf travel bag through the airport

The bag is also rather large, as it is able to house and accommodate clubs of all sizes comfortably. And when not in use, the Club Champ is fully collapsible, meaning you will be able to save space in your closet when the bag is not in use.

And this is really just scratching the surface of what this bag has to offer. While it isn't number one, the Club Champ is still a travel bag that is a worthy contender.

What We Liked

  • Super affordable
  • Heavy duty zippers and constructions
  • Full size and fully collapsible

What We Didn't Like

  • Made of a thinner material

Samsonite Golf Deluxe 3 Piece Travel Set

Moving back up the price ladder, our next bag, from Samsonite Golf, may be one of our pricier bags today at nearly $100. But even at that price, you get more then what you pay for.

Aimed towards experienced golfers who have accumulated a large variety and large value of clubs, the Samsonite 3 Piece Travel Set should be able to fulfil all your needs.

Samsonite Golf Deluxe 3 Piece Travel Set

To start, not only do you get the Samsonite Golf Travel Bag, but you also get an additional shoe bag and duffel bag. This means that for your $100, you literally get enough gear to pack everything you may need for your trip, and not just the golf clubs.

But what you are here for is the golf bag, correct? Well, you certainly won't be disappointed with the Samsonite bag, as the bag is designed with lightweight, yet durable, 600 denier shields that help protect your bag from even the harshest of treatment.

Granted, not everyone needs the extra duffel and shoe bag that this comes with. And if you are just buying this set for the golf travel bag, while you won't in any way be disappointed, you don't really get enough content to justify the $100 price tag.

Still, it's hard to argue the price for most people, as this purchase is literally a one stop shop for all your travel and golf needs. An amazing and strong golf bag as well as some awesome bonus goodies make this Samsonite Golf purchase well worth the money.

What We Liked

  • Deluxe 3 piece set
  • High quality material
  • Lots of protection
  • Lightweight and heavy duty

What We Didn't Like

  • Relatively pricey

Club Glove Last Bag

Our last bag for today is, aptly enough, called the Club Glove Last Bag. And while "last" may be in the products name, the Club Glove ranks first in many golfer's hearts.

It is completely manufactured in the USA and made of an extremely durable materials, such as nylon, providing maximum protection in all travel conditions. The buckles, zippers and rivets are made of similar heavy-duty material, making the whole bag one that will last for a really long time.

Club Glove Last Bag

Surprisingly with such a heavy-duty material, the Club Glove Last Bag weighs only a mere 10.5 pounds, making it really lightweight and easy to carry from one end of a busy airport to the next. Its high-impact wheels make it easy to move quickly as well, but if you are in a real hurry, you can use one of the included back straps to easily lift and transport the bag.

The bag has two external shoe bags and provides ample amount of storage space in its main compartments, for all your golfing gear, balls, tees etc, and also provides a healthy amount of padding at the neck of the bag, so you don’t need to worry about wrapping the top of your clubs to provide for additional protection.

The only downside to the Club Glove Last Bag is its cost, which comes to nearly a whopping $330, making it the most expensive bag today. While it may be hard to justify such a high price point, the quality of the bag and the fact that it is made to last can, in the long run, make up for the money spent.

I can't do it justice just how durable and long lasting this bag really is. There is a reason that this bag is called the Club Glove Last Bag, as it may be the last travel bag you ever need to buy.
