Ideally, the SC200 Swing Caddie is a relatively basic launch monitor. Utilizing radar technology, this gadget will monitor, record, and display, among others, your

  • Smash factor
  • Carry distance
  • Swing speed
  • Ball speed

Besides, it also:

  • Stores the average stats for pretty much all your clubs
  • Provides Overall stats for your last 100 shots

Swing Caddie SC200: Simplicity at Its Best!

Typically, using the Voice Caddie SC200 is quite easy. All you need to do is turn it on, and it will take a few seconds to calibrate, and just like that, you are set to go!

Nonetheless, you will need to ensure that you adjust for each club you are hitting on every shot, and this certainly makes the gadget more accurate. It comes with a handy remote control that allows you to switch modes or clubs easily. After you swing, the unit will state precisely how far you have hit the ball during your shot, and you, therefore, need not check back on it.

What Makes the Swing Caddie Unique?

This device is equipped with three amazing modes to help you achieve a more exciting and diverse experience. The Voice Caddie SC200 as it is also known as has three amazing modes which you can pick from mainly:

Practice Mode:

Practice mode effectively tracks all important stats - including your ball speed, swing speed, smash, and shot yardage. All you need to do is set the gadget behind you, pick your club, and begin hitting your shots.

This unit will automatically inform you of the yardage each time you hit your shot, courtesy of its Voice Distance Output feature, where a voice output tells you information on your club speed and distance output. Essentially, this is quite convenient since it saves you the hustle of looking at it every time you hit your shot. What’s more, it also automatically resets with each shot.

Target Mode:

This is a great mode and is purposed to help you get a glimpse of your consistency. To activate it, set the target yardage and hit ten consecutive shots. Ideally, the SC200 Voice Caddie will gather all your scores, and subsequently determine precisely how accurate you are. It will grade you from 1-10.

Target mode is a challenging but fun way to keep tabs with your progress and improve your overall game.

Approach Mode:

Finally, the approach mode represents a fantastic feature Target which will seriously enhance your approach game. Typically, the Voice Caddie SC20 will provide you with a random distance, and then rate you (1-10) after playing your shot. With each shot you hit, the device will give you new yardage, which you should try and beat.

This fantastic feature is a valuable training provision since, as opposed to hitting the same yardage and club each time, this feature will subsequently train you to adjust to new shots and distances-similar to the real-time course experience.

With this mode, not only will you get better at your accuracy, but you will also improve your approach shots as well as lower your overall scores. In particular, the approach mode is more suited for the lower handicap players, as it will help them improve their whole wedge game.

Does the Swing Caddie SC200 Work as promised?

Indeed, it does work as advertised! Essentially, the Voice Caddie SC200 provides you with all the information you need to enhance your game.

In my opinion, this device provides you with all the necessary information any amateur golfer requires. The Voice Caddie SC200 will provide you with some accurate reading of your swing speed, ball speed and smash factor, plus the carry distance as aforementioned. In fact, according to their official website, this device boasts a decent +/- 3% accuracy when it comes to ball speed, in addition to a commendable +/- .5 yardage accuracy.

Ideally, this is quite an accurate data. While in my sessions, I used a laser rangefinder and a GPS smartwatch, and to my surprise, the SC200 accurately matches all my yardages. This is especially considering that this is only a moderately prized gadget you would otherwise take home for just under $400 depending on where you buy it.

The SC200 is a fantastic device for anyone who enjoys going to the driving range and is well suited to boost your game. Besides helping you enhance your overall course management, the yardage data it offers will help you make more informed decisions while on the course. However, be careful when using range balls as they perform differently than your normal golf ball.
