At Hitting The Golf Ball, we value education and helping those in need. We also understand that education can be a significant expense and know how difficult it can be for students and their families to make ends meet. Between housing, tuition, books, and school supplies, the cost of attending college or graduate school can easily rise into the tens of thousands of dollars, if not more.
In an effort to make things a little easier for students and their families, we are pleased to be offering an annual $1,000 scholarship to individuals who are currently attending or planning on attending college or graduate school in the near future.
If you have a passion for sports and especially golf, this scholarship might be of interest to you. Even though we are an advocate of sports, you do not have to be an athlete to apply.
We are overwhelmed by the number and quality of applications. The winner will be chosen and contacted by February 15th, 2017.
Regrettably, we are unable to provide a scholarship for every single applicant. With that being said, we run this scholarship annually and you are most welcomed to apply again next year.
You have a chance to win a scholarship for $1000.
In order to participate, students must submit an essay between 500-1000 words on the following topic:
Example: Best Golf Rangefinders and Best Golf Swing Analyzers
The person who does the best will receive $1000 that can be used either in course materials or other resources. If you would like to know more, please continue reading.
This scholarship is only for students that are currently enrolled in colleges, universities or high schools.
The essay you are writing must be unique and creative. You must be able to convince readers of your point of view.
While reading the articles that are submitted, we will take note of several factors; including creativity, value of the provided information and few others.
Write an essay that is between 500-1000 words long and submit to us via a Word .doc. Additionally, please add this URL to your website (If you have any).
When you will be done with these steps, email us at scholarships [at] hittingthegolfball.com with all of the details listed below and attached Word document:
By submitting your essay, you give us permission to use it for marketing and promotions purposes.
The deadline for submission is January 31st, 2017, and the winner will be selected by February 15th, 2017. If the prize is not claimed within a month of the selection date, another winner will be selected.
$1000 will be made payable (via US mail or Direct Deposit via PayPal) to the accredited university, college, or high school (institution) as designated by the applicant after the application deadline. The scholarship award must be applied to school expenses (including but not limited to tuition, books, fees and on-campus housing fees) during the school year.
We run our scholarship program annually.
Congratulations to Lily Walker on being the winner of the 2017 Hitting The Golf Ball Scholarship Program award!
The scholarship program for 2018 will be open soon.
